If you’re an instafan you may have noticed the current #yousharewecare hashtag going on recently.

This is a La Roche Posay creation, where the idea is you take a selfie with one of their (only fabliss) products. Then share it firstly on their site here whilst stating why you love the chosen product, and then (optionally) share it on instagram/twitter/facebook/etc with the aforementioned hashtag. La Roche Posay will then donate €1 for every selfie to Temple Street Children’s Hospital. It’s literally a piece of proverbial piss to participate and obviously it’s a fantastic cause so you’ve literally NO EXCUSE!

La Roche Posay is no-contest my favourite ‘drugstore’ (how Yank of me!) skincare range. As a pharmacist, it’s my go-to range to recommend for the vast majority of skin complaints. The ‘Cicaplast’ range is amaze for irritated, chapped skin, as is the Lipikar range. If you’re skin is super sensitive, Toleriane is the bidnizz. The Hydraphase Intense is probably my all-time favourite daytime moisturiser – super hydrating, dries in quickly, and as with all LRP products, is free from all the nasties. Serozinc is my latest obsesh from LRP, and finally, Anthelios SPF 50+ is my go-to face sunscreen, always. The only products from LRP that I’m a bit ‘whatever’ about is their make-up range – They’re graaand  but I wouldn’t be the biggest fan. But  #tobefair they’re not really known for their cosmetics anywhere, they’re all about the skincare.

For the #yousharewecare campaign, I went with Serozinc as my favourite LRP product. Pre-serozinc sad times I rarely bothered using toners on my skin. My skintype is normal but it’s prone to dehydration at times, and as toners are more for oily skin types, I never really noticed a benefit from them. Rather than practicing the ‘Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise’ mantra of the nineties, I generally ‘Cleanse, Exfoliate, Cleanse, Moisturise!’… HOWEVER, upon always ridey Tijan Serena’s recommendation (and Amelia Liana’s‘s – also ridey!) I added Serozinc to my skincare routine as a toner of sorts. And I’m obsessed. It’s a facial mist with zinc sulphate particles, which literally reduces blemishes and redness overnight. It also mattifies the skin, thus reducing shine. I’ve been recommending it to anyone who’ll listen, and now all my pals are hooked!

Now go get your #yousharewecare selfie game on!

  1. Do you remember what your skin was like when you were younger? It was firm, supple and radiant. It glowed, even when you didn’t apply any beauty products to it.

But then one day you looked in the mirror and noticed things were changing. Your skin seemed drier and you noticed a few lines. Maybe you even noticed a loss of facial firmness around the eyes and jawline.
