Okay so my mouth is literally watering as I reminisce on all the deliciousness…

I meant to blog about this place a few weeks ago but alas laziness prevailed. However, an end of month ‘Favourites’ vibe could slot smoothly into the Pharmer’s Journal right about now – And so I present to you the most incred of all the foods… at Le Frog (Nice, France).
I first discovered this place last year when lording it up in the South of France, and upon my return to the Cote d’Azur at the start of this month, it was top of my restaurant hit list. Located along an intimate side street in the old part of town, Le Frog is just enough off the beaten track to avoid the extreme tourist traffic buzz.

Obviously french food is amazing in general, and subsequently pretty much every meal I’ve ever consumed in that wonderful country has been a bingefest of overeating vibes… But at the same time y’all know how snobby/condescending the locals can be, (waiters/barstaff included) and subsequently many restaurants are lacking in atmosphere – which is why I love Le Frog; the staff there are super chilled yet friendly.

But on to the food… As their name suggests, Le Frog is known for their frog legs (which are amaze). However on this particular night, I chose snails to start, followed by lobster risotto. (Followed by tiramisu, followed by cocktails)…

I’m not even embarrassed to admit that I was excited about those garlic snails literally as soon as the trip was booked. I’m literally obsessed. (Actually does anyone know of any Dublin restaurants serving snails?! Holler to me if so.)

Obviously I gorged on a disgusting amount of delicious bread (and delicious wine) when enjoying these… Nom. Yum. Sew good.

My main was the creamiest, most comforting carb-loading bowl of dreams ever. Lobster, squid ink and risotto – Amazing. God I’d love it right now actually. (As I start day 1 of intermittent 5 : 2 fasting, fml…). My boyfriend had steak (obviously) which I also helped him consume, and again it was all kinds of tasty, tasty.

I couldn’t possibly have had dessert. ‘Til I saw the menu, and instantly ordered tiramisu. Gorge. Creamy, rich, fluffy, amazing.

And as with every meal over there, it ended with a complimentary glass of Limoncello. Which is disgusting, vile, horrific, grotesque. Yet I still managed to down every last drop, every single time.
