Let’s just skim over the awkward silence in relation to my return of absence over here. I am married! For a whole five days now. But no biggie.
I’ve had many the question about wedding planning and my wedding day and all that such an occasion involves, and to be honest I wasn’t 100% sure whether I’d bother bloggin’ about it at all. Firstly, because I had a mere twelve weeks to plan the thing and didn’t want to hashtag preach incase it all went a tad nicht so gut. But mainly because I didn’t know how comfortable I’d feel sharing snaps of the day. How and ever – it was an amazing success and sure look, mi casa, su casa y’know? (Also, it will help deal with my severe post wedding depression, so it’s a win-win).
The depression is real – I’ve a sore throat, a severe hangover, (and even more severe empty pockets)… Today I’ve eaten my weight in Haagen Dazs (due to said sore throat, natch) yet only this time last week it was all systems go. Last Thursday was our ‘Day Two’, (which we had the day before) – with a gorge BBQ for our nearest and dearest friends and fam at my home house. Friday was OUR DAY – the BEST. DAY. EVER! We said ‘I Do’ at a little church in Aughavas, Leitrim before partying ’til sunrise at the stunning Lough Rynn Castle. Sigh. How I wish I could do it all again.
It’s all been an utter blur, tbh. So much thinkin’ and dreamin’ goes into it all – the dress, the songs, the flowers, the hair. And then it’s just BAM! Done.
Can it be done in twelve weeks? Yaaaass! There’s a whole lotta ‘much ado about nothing’ in relation to wedding planning. For realz. Do not stress if you’re recently engaged and having heart palps at the thoughts. People be cray. Bridezillas be cray. Don’t you be cray.
My plan of action is to basically write my own do’s and don’ts for the day – what I loved (spoiler alert: everything) what I would do differently had I the chance, what went wrong, how I chose my venue/dress/bits ‘n’ bobs, and so on and so forth…
So if y’all have any questions needing answered holla to me! xo
