January’s beauty box edition is all about detoxing – cleansing your hair and skin (and even your soul with a complimentary yoga guide #notions)…

V. fitting for the month that’s in it!

Starting with haircare, Look Fantastic have included a Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo (50ml), and a Kebelo Revitalising Conditioner (50ml) in their box of tricks…

I’m all about the Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo (having originally discovered it in Look Fantastic’s June Beauty Box edition) and actually purchased two more bottles of the stuff before Christmas. The conditioner however, I’ve yet to try  but I’m loving the ingedients – quinoa seeds and the likes. Travel friendly haircare is my guilty pleasure – I have overflowing drawers of the stuff as I find them incredibly convenient for the gym, weekends away, holidays… These shan’t go to waste.

There’s one cosmetic included in this month’s beauty box, and that is a BellaPierre Shimmer Shadow, in the shade ‘Earth’ – a heavily pigmented rose gold hue.

I’ve used BellaPierre shimmer powders before (thanks to August’s Look Fantastic’s Beauty Box), and was very impressed at their quality and staying power.  This bronzey shade is right up my street, (moreso than the August edition’s shade), and could also double as a (very shimmery!)  highlighter

There are three skincare beauties to play with, with each covering a different base. Starting with cleansers, there’s a 50ml bottle of Darphin Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water.  Any Darphin product I’ve used in the past has been fabulous, and therefore I’m sure this won’t disappoint. The full sized 200ml of this retails at over €30, so as micellar waters go it’s a pretty spendy version. Another handy essential for that (rarely used!) gymbag.

Look Fantastic have got your exfoliation needs covered too, with a 14g tube of Lancer The Method: Polish. I’ve heard the hype about Dr. Lancer skincare, and so am v. intrigued to try this out. The full sized 120ml tube of this skin resurfacing treatment retails at over €80 – I’ll report back with my thoughts post use.

And finally, featuring one of my favourite brands (yay): The Nuxe Nuxellence Detox – a night treatment which aims to recharge and detox your skin overnight. The reviews of this elixir are all glowing  – I’m v. excited to try. It smells gorge too FYI…

The Verdict…

Overall I can see myself using all six products included in the beauty box – something that’s not always the way. Were I to whinge a little about this month’s edition – I’d say it’s a tad bit lazy to include two products that have already been beauty boxed in the past six months… BUT I happen to love the two repeat offenders as it happens and subsequently I’ll let it slide…

  1. I’ve tried the Lancer and I’ll say nothing until you use it! Got a sample at a Space NK event. I’ve heard great things about the Bellápierre brand!

    1. Oh really?! Sounds disappointing!! I’ve a feeling it’ll be way too harsh on my skin – I’m not a fan of anything too abrasive… Xx

  2. Have just got & opened my box, saw you had a blog post up on it the other day & was dying to have a read but resisted until now (very proud of myself!), I’m pretty impressed with this month’s box too. Nice mid Jan surprise! Karen
