My Look Fantastic Beauty Box arrived today – a welcome package on a dreary day (and also a welcome parcel amidst my #feelingspendy Black Friday hauls – which continue to arrive daily fml).
The December edition has been marketed as Look Fantastic’s best beauty box to date, with six party-seasonally appropriate selections to play with. Packaging wise, they’ve upped the ante big shtyle for Christmas; updating their usual chic black boxes for luxe gold and white versions. Adore.
The star of the… box is obvvy the Eve Lom Morning Time Cleanser, which generally retails at around €60 for 125mls. At a sizeable 50ml, Look Fantastic’s offering is more than generous, and perfect for travelling. Personally I’m not a fan of the scent – (not one iota! fricking cloves!) but I’ll be using this regardless at some stage (if not when travelling, it’ll be handy for my gym bag).

Star of the Show Number Two takes form in a serum – A 7ml Codage Radiance and Energy Serum to be more precise. The full sized 30ml bottle of this elixir will set you back over €100 on Look Fantastic, so this 7ml tube isn’t quite so frugal as it first appears.
I obviously whacked this straight onto my visage, and on first application, it feels lovely – soothing and calming. Would I repurchase the full-sized?! I’ll keep you posted after a week’s trial…
I adore Molton Brown, and therefore was loving the Molton Brown Coco and Sandalwood Body Wash included in this month’s beauty box. The scent is gorgeous, and the 100ml bottle is graaaand. (FYI The full sized 300ml bottle retails for around €30).
V random to include a Wet Brush Squirt hairbrush, (dire name, dire packaging)… I haven’t tried this brand before, but I presume it’s akin to TangleTeezer and the likes (which I love, obviously). This mini size brush makes for a ridiculously handy handbag essench. Apparently it’s ‘Thin and strong yet flexible’… Lolz. (These retail at €11.45 on Look Fantastic).
Party Season accessory number one – False Eyelashes…
These are Eylure’s Exaggerate No 156 reusable falsies, which retail at €7.45. Back when I was a college fresher, I would have been all about these – but alas I’m no spring chicken anymore and a false eyelash hasn’t passed my lid in many a year. This specific pair look pretty scary/dramatic/extreme, but I won’t knock ’em ’til I try ’em.
And finally, there’s a Lord and Berry Pailette Black Glitter Eye Pencil to bring a twinkle to your peepers. I was v, v impressed with the Lord and Berry lip pencil I received in July’s beauty box edition, and subsequently I’ve high hopes for the quality of this eye pencil. The glitter particles are somewhat off putting for an eye liner (itchy, scratchy no?!) but for Christmas i guess a bit of glitter never went astray. The full sized pencil costs 14.45, with the beauty box offering being (probably) three quarters sized…
All in all, for in or around €19, I’m A-OK with this month’s picks. And on a side note, I’m really enjoying the whole beauty box notion – in that I’ve discovered some previously unheard of (to me) brands, such as Monu and Kebelo. And in actual fact, today’s parcel arrived with a second Look Fantastic order – more of the Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo, which I’m adoring at the mo!
