If, like me you are stationary obsessed (forever buying but rarely using etc), then you’ll probably be more than au fait with Rifle Paper Co. If not, just look at their insta feed, and you’ll soon understand my overreaction on discovering their collaboration with L’Occitane. Swoooon. The packaging! The gift sets! The Shea Butter products! The hand-painted designs!
Y’all know I’m a L’Occitane lover by now – simply because I’ve yet to try a product that disappoints. Their Shea Butter range is no exception (read my previous thoughts on the line in question here). Add to the packaging some hand-painted leaves, nuts and shea blossoms to mimic the scents, lights and textures of the South of France, and voila! Bonjour gorgeous limited edition perfection.
My favourite is the Shea Winter Rescue Tin (€30) which contains their infamous shea butter hand cream, as well as a body scrub and body cream. (Plus it comes in the CUTEST tin – major brownie points there, obviously). This would make for a beautiful gift (I think stuff like this is always gorgeous to receive as a ‘Get Well Soon’ present… Or maybe a Mother’s Day gift which is a mere few weeks away).
Equally fab are the stand alone limited edition products which you can purchase here. The muti-purpose shea balm cost a mere tenner and can be used as a lip balm, cuticle treatment or a general moisturiser. Perfect as a ‘To: Me, From: Me’ gift for on the go. The shea butter hand cream also comes in a limited edition rose fragrance which I’m excited to try.
Worth mentioning too is the Milk Shea Butter Solidarity Soap, where by purchasing one for a teeny €5, L’Occitane will donate 100% of the profit to Unicef, where one sale will provide a full year’s worth of Vitamin A to three children in developing countries. In developing countries, up to 500,000 children go blind annually due to vitamin A deficiency. (L’Occitane do trojan work with Orbis – an international charity that fights blindness. You can read more about that here).
So whatcha reckon? Are ya all up in this collaboration’s face? It’s available in store and online now, but tick tock as it’s limited edition. You can browse the range here for more information.
