My addictive personality is currently overdosing on Peacock Green – can’t get enough.
Back when I worked in town their kitsch Lord Edward St branch was a stone’s throw away from me, but only recently has my love been rekindled. After dipping my toes in their Merrion Road branch a month or two ago, I’ve been frequenting far too frequently.
Whilst admittedly they’re far from reinventing the wheel, for a coffee and chill situ it’s perfection. The prettiest of granny chic interiors make for some gorgeous lounging, and as to be expected from the chain, the food is delish. I’ve devoured any cake I’ve tried (which is all yolo) – and everything is fresh, delicious and eh, paleo obv…
What with Peacock Green priding themselves on their ‘Leaf Tea and Coffee Merchant’ status, they’ve a pretty hefty selection of herbal teas and speciality coffees to sample, should you be into that kind of thing. And for the frugal granny (chic!) in you, their takeaway coffee loyalty scheme rewards ya with a complimentary coffee for every eight you purchase, as opposed to the general ten. #dollardollarbillz
SRSLY though, how much do you love the decor?! Also, am I beyond the realms of loserville for wanting to buy one of their cow-milk-jug contraptions after spotting it in an Amelia Liana video? Yes, yes I am. (If you too are equally pathetic you can buy one in the cafe for €16).
Last week’s Bank Holiday brunch of french toast/bacon/maple syrup/carmelised pear was incredibly tasty-tasty. Highly recommend…
Also recommend their full Irish (as is evident here!).
So, yeah… This is where I’ve been hanging of recent. And as it’s dangerously close to my current home sweet home, I plan on wasting many an afternoon here once my maternity leaves strikes.
Can ya tell I’m counting down the days?!
Coffee date, anyone? Xo
