After people-watching, browsing is my favourite hobby. I rate it higher than Netflix, truth be told. Blogs are my guilty pleasure; There’s something so intrusive yet satisfying about following the day-today activities of beautiful people. Obviously I know behind the filters, cloaks and daggers lies a less than flawless existence, but the addiction is real.
One of the first blogs I discovered many moons ago is that of the stunning Audrey Leighton – Be Frassy. Audrey is the real-life Carrie Bradshaw (circa Carrie’s Parisian days) – She’s an American journalist living the dream between Paris and Barcelona. Her honesty is what draws me to her daily musings. Whilst she is perfection personified on the outside, her writing always harbours a deeper meaning than outer beauty and her intelligence shines deeply through her beautiful way with words. PLUS she loves shoes, clothes, wine and coffee. A girl after my own heart.
Tara from Tarmarz is an Irish blogger I love to follow. She’s more of a youtuber than a writer, and possesses that annoying ability to look fabulous wearing whatever she fudge she wants to. But you can’t not warm to her, what with her stunningly exotic looks masking that thick Cork accent.
A Model Recommends is the brainchild of model Ruth Crilly – (You may recognise the name from the bottle of CoLab dry shampoos!). Ruth is a beauty blogger whose opinions on products is pretty much always on par with my own… Subsequently I love checking out her reviews on the latest skincare launches, for what she loves I love. Same goes for Karen from Lovely Girlie Bits, she’s a HIGH-LARIOUS Irish beauty blogger who is forever keeping it real on her snapchat and whatnot.
Youtube vlogger/blogger-wise, the list is endless. I’m almost embarrassed to admit to half of the shite I keep up with on that. I love Barbara from The Persian Babe, originally because she’s also a pharmacist but mainly because her style is amaze (minus the Kim-K looks). She has the innate ability to throw a white shirt on over ripped jeans and look like she’s ready for a black-tie ball.
I also watch Amelia Liana, if only for her Sloane Square vibes. And that’s about as deep as it gets! I’ll try save what little dignity I have left and leave it at that, but I could go on… and on…
